KSU Math & Science Partnership
Physics Workshop Handouts

This page serves as a document archive for the Physics component of KSU's 2011/12 Math & Science Partnership project.

Use the right mouse button to save the following document. They come in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. When clicked with the left mouse button, documents would open in a new window. The "zip" files, when available, require a password. They includes the Microsoft Word version of the document and in some cases the suggested answers. The password is provided to workshop participants and teachers. If you need to get the password, send me an email from your school official email address. Users of the Windows operating system can use this free utility for opening zips and other types of archives: http://www.7-zip.org/.

These activities are the 2011/2012 versions of documents that were used by KSU faculty in conducting Teacher Workshops in Physical Science and Physics. When available, earlier versions are accessible from this web site by using the appropriate links. This project is funded through the Georgia Department of Education's MSP project (http://www.doe.k12.ga.us/ci_services.aspx?PageReq=CIServMSP). The director of the project is Dr. David Rosengrant. The leader of the Physics/Physical Science component of the project is Dr. Taha Mzoughi. Co-workshop leaders are Dr. Patrick Manigault and Mr. Michael Teters. This web site is maintained by Taha Mzoughi.

Please note that The activities are the results of many years of teachings and many hours of research. Even though I would like to claim that I came up with all these ideas, I doubt that any of them is new. We are blessed these days with an amazing access to many resources, all were developed by bright, dedicated and hard working individuals. In my case, I often think that I came up with a great idea to later find out, through a quick search, that several people have posted resources that are very similar. Did I read one of them before and simply forgot that I did? That is very possible; I sometimes forget what I eat for breakfast. Since I am not intending to make any profit of these resources, I did not find it necessary to find similar resources for each activity and include them as reference. However, if you feel that I stole your unique idea and would like me to either remove the handout or give you credit, please provide me with information supporting your claim and I will gladly oblige. Please note that I regularly submit content that I find useful to both http://physicsfront.org and http://physicssource.org the digital libraries for introductory physics.
